A pirate ship base-builder, and a naval fight at the end of it
Broadside: Blackpowder & Iron is a pirate game about one ship. You build her room by room, arm her, crew her, and send her against other captains' ships while they sleep.

Broadside is in development for Android, with iOS to follow. These become live links the day each one opens.
Your ship is your base
A hull is a grid of cells and nothing more until you fill it. A gun deck gives you a broadside; a powder magazine keeps it firing; a carpenter's shop mends what the enemy breaks; a sail locker buys you the weather gauge. Space is tight, weight is real, and every cell spent on one thing is a cell not spent on another.
Fights happen while you are away
You raid another captain's ship, and other captains raid yours — but never at the same moment. What they meet is a snapshot of your ship as you left it, sailed by your crew. There is no waiting for an opponent, and losing your connection never loses you a fight.
Powder, iron, and the odds
Cannons, carronades and culverins are not the same weapon. Round shot breaks hulls, grape kills crew, chain brings down rigging. Range, speed and seamanship decide who chooses the distance, and armour is a threshold rather than a slider — a ball either gets through or it does not. It is age-of-sail naval combat rather than a hit-point race.
A crew worth keeping
Hands work the rooms; officers make them better at it. Send the wrong people to the wrong stations and a well-built ship fights badly.
